I have been teaching art history at the high school level since 1992. I started my teaching career at the Field School of Washington, DC. From the summer of 2008 through 2019 I was an adjunct instructor in The University of Minnesota’s Curriculum and Instruction Department. Since 2018 I have been teaching art history classes for MCAD’s pre-college summer program. For the summer of 2022 I received an Education Minnesota Foundation grant to study the art of Winslow Homer from Maine to New York City. I hold a B.A. in art history and history from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an M.A. in teaching from the University of St. Thomas. I was the graduation speaker for the classes of 2002, 2011, and 2015.
